Landon Creevy Obituary, Holland, MI Death, In lieu of flowers, Breakthrough T1D

Landon Grant Creevy, of Holland, Michigan, passed away on July 22, 2026, at the age of 40. Born on September 4, 1985, Landon lived a life defined by laughter, love, generosity, and an infectious spirit that brightened the lives of everyone he encountered. Though his time here was far too brief, the memories he created and the joy he shared will endure forever.

Landon was the beloved son of Chad and Mary Jo Creevy and a devoted brother to Chad K. Creevy (Dana) and Jorie Harris (Justin). Among his greatest treasures were his seven beloved nieces—Olivia Hamilton (Brendan), Marcy Creevy, Ellesyn Creevy, Lydia Harris, Celia Harris, Emilia Harris, and Cora Harris—who affectionately knew him as their proud “F’uncle.” He delighted in making them laugh, encouraging them, and creating special moments they will carry with them always.

He also shared an unbreakable bond with his faithful canine companion, Carl, who was rarely far from his side and brought him immeasurable comfort and companionship.

Landon was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Paul and Shirley Creevy, and his maternal grandparents, William and Gladys Sexton.

After graduating from Fennville High School, Landon earned a degree in Broadcasting from Central Michigan University. He built a successful career in restaurant and retail management, most recently serving at Crane’s In The City. Whether interacting with coworkers, customers, or friends, Landon had a remarkable gift for making people feel welcomed, appreciated, and genuinely cared for.

Those who knew Landon will remember his quick wit, endless supply of movie quotes, and entertaining commentary on nearly every sporting event imaginable. A passionate Michigan State Spartans fan, he loved discussing sports, spending time on the golf course with friends, and traveling to Mexico. Yet above all else, Landon treasured being surrounded by the people he loved. Whether celebrating milestones, watching a game, golfing, or simply enjoying a conversation, he understood that life’s greatest moments were those shared with family and friends.

Landon’s kindness, generous heart, and unmistakable laugh touched countless lives. He possessed a rare ability to turn ordinary days into unforgettable memories and made every gathering brighter simply by being himself. His warmth, humor, and authenticity left an enduring impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Although his passing leaves an immeasurable void, Landon’s legacy lives on through every shared laugh, every family gathering, every perfectly timed movie quote, every Michigan State victory, and every story that begins with the words, “Remember when Landon…”

He will be forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten. Go Green!

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 26, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Dykstra Funeral Home – Mulder Chapel, 188 W. 32nd Street, Holland. A funeral service celebrating Landon’s life will take place on Monday, July 27, at 11:00 a.m. at Pillar Church in Holland, officiated by Rev. Dr. Jon Brown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Breakthrough T1D in Landon’s honor.
